Membership drive starts for Skipton and Craven Lions club
Reviving the fortunes of Skipton and Craven Club was the subject of a meeting held on the 10th January in Skipton, the historic gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. Attending from Skipton and Craven Lions was Derek Evans and representing the Global Membership Team were PDG Eric Wright, 2nd VDG John Hall, Zone Chairman David McDowell, PDG Brian Yeoman from the new Bramley and Wickersley Club and PRO Nigel Perry.
Skipton and Craven was chartered in 1964 and has long been one of the most successful and enterprising clubs in the District. But the past few years have taken its toll, the club is now down to just a few members. To ensure the club is not lost to Lions the GMT is now formulating plans to revive the club by assisting the Club to attract new Lions.
