The Signature Projects are part of a key membership drive!

Past International Director Phil Nathan explains –

"Our Signature on Our Community" Signature projects are not a new idea but they can easily be a legacy. Back in 2002 then International President K K Fukushima encouraged clubs to put a "stamp" on their community by doing something that everyone would recognise as a Lions "stamp". In MD105 we have so many varying "stamps"; it may be a Lions emblem made from flower bulbs planted in the local park or something as amazing as a hospice. No matter how big or small, many of our clubs have left their signature on their community.

Our history has a proud affiliation with many sight programmes and, even more relative to today's society and the future, our many and varied Youth Programmes. Historically, some of our great programmes have sat on the shelf gathering dust, so, the Council of Governors have challenged a number of forward thinking Lions to produce and or rejuvenate something to enable one powerful message to be delivered throughout our Multiple District of the British Isles and Ireland.  One message everywhere that if utilised enthusiastically will deliver "Our Signature on Our Community".

The Lions Eye Health Programme (LEHP) has some powerful warnings and messages, all deliverable in the form of pamphlets and posters.

Young Leaders in Service (YLIS) likewise delivers its message via pamphlet.

Two great "Service Programmes" brought together that will also deliver you a fabulous membership tool that proudly shows the public who we are, what we do and why we do it. Both programmes reflect to the very heart of the proud ethos of Lion Service. More news will follow and lots of advice is and will be available but I invite you to join us and embrace this idea. Come on board as we write "Our Signature on Our Community" throughout our lands.

Thank you for taking the time to read this - please now talk about it at your club. Its in YOUR hands.
