The Lion Magazine
As some of you may have noticed I am now the deputy Chairman of the Lion Magazine Management Committee.
The LION magazine is published six times a year in August, October, December, February, April and June and consists of at least 64 full colour pages.
Each issue contains items of news, articles, information and results of competitions and events from Clubs, Districts our Multiple District, and from our International headquarters at Oak Brook, Chicago.
If your club has an event which is "different" then submit an article, with photographs, to the editor or through the District Lion Magazine sub editor Lion Trevor Kell and it will be considered for publication. As you can imagine we get a number of articles with photographs of cheque presentations or Race Nights or clubs "can rattling" outside a supermarket. We are looking for that little bit extra something different and newsworthy.
We will always get items passed through from LCI which we have to include in a particular issue but there are always spare pages for our own MD items.
We represent the views and opinion of over 900 Clubs within the British Isles and Ireland, together with messages and reports from the International President, Multiple District Council of Governors and Officers. If you do not submit articles then you will not get them published so get onto your club PRO and encourage them to submit an article to the magazine and you may then see your own club in print.
