June 1st 2010, was a very special day when Holderness Lions Members invited older people, from Hedon Town and surrounding villages to go for a day out. 
Four coaches were hired and quickly filled. 
Our trip was to Thornton Dale for a cuppa and then onto Heartbeat County, for a short while, before finally heading to Whitby, where the day was ended with a walk along the Harbour and Icecream.  
After an excellent time we arrived back home at around 5.00p.m. 

The general opinion was “Didn’t we have a lovely day out”.
