Harrogate Lions Club are very active within the community. Some of the things we do :

Hospital newspapers

Deliver newspapers at week ends to patients in Harrogate District Hospital

Provide toiletry packs to patients admitted as emergencies

Work  with a local Scout Group who are raising funds to re-build their meeting place .

Transport disabled athletes to Leicester to take part in The Special Olympics

Sponsor a local youth football team to take part in a National Competition

Sponsor local students to take part in the National Peace Poster Competition

Provide holidays for the disabled and needy.

Collect used spectacles to send to the third world. We have collecting bins in St Michael’s charity shops on Cold Bath Road, Church Avenue Bilton and High Street Starbeck. There is also a collection bin in the foyer of Harrogate District Hospital and one at Jennyfield Styan Community Centre. Donations always welcome.
